Forest of Discoverers in Ułęż

The Forest of Discoverers, a family theme park running since 2022 in the commune of Ułęż in the Lublin region, near Ryki and about 35 km from Puławy, has no carousels, rollercoasters or even coloured pavement — all the attractions are built of wood and natural materials among tall trees that give shade and coolness even on hot days.

Fifteen forest stations

Along the Alley of Discoverers wait 15 play stations: a wicker tunnel, root swings, the Stump Meadow, the Forest Balance Beam, the Touch Meadow with a barefoot path, the Sound Meadow with pot drums, forest shelters, the Discoverer's Tree with a giant slide, a leafy climbing wall, the Tarzan Meadow, a forest zip line and the Ant Labyrinth with climbing at height. Each attraction has a stamp to collect — collecting them can be a task for the whole visit.

Water and food

In summer the saviour is the Water Play Meadow: a beach by a pond with a fountain and a huge sandpit around it, complete with buckets, spades and wheelbarrows. Bring swimwear for the children, because few leave the park dry. In the central part stands a covered food court serving pizza, potato pancakes with goulash, ice cream and compote.

In practice

In the summer season the park runs daily from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, and on-site parking is free. The address is Ułęż 215 E, reached from the Dęblin–Kock road. Current prices and off-season hours are on lasodkrywcow.pl.
