Wooden Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Laliki

The wooden Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Laliki-Pochodzita is a small sanctuary on a high Beskid hamlet. The chapel was built in 1947 and enlarged with side aisles in 1965–1966. Its highland form, hand-carved interior and location on the Wooden Architecture Trail of the Silesian Voivodeship make it a distinctive rural landmark.

The church has a simple wooden body suited to the Beskid landscape. Local makers created the interior, using woodcarving and details rooted in regional tradition. Local accounts connect the extension with the use of a former bell tower; treat this as part of local memory rather than the sole certain explanation of the chronology.

Pochodzita lies in the Laliki area, between the Silesian and Żywiec Beskids. Nearby are Ochodzita hill, Koniaków, the Glinne Pass and hiking and cycling routes. Remember that the church is primarily a place of worship, not a year-round attraction with a ticket office.

The church is usually closed and opens for services. Groups and individual visitors should arrange access with the parish in advance; local information also mentions borrowing a key at a neighbouring house, but confirm that this is still available before travelling.
