Gród Pobiedziska Stronghold

Gród Pobiedziska is a family history park on the Piast Trail, on Fabryczna Street in Pobiedziska between Poznań and Gniezno. The timber stronghold evokes the beginnings of the Polish state, while its main attraction is a collection of full-scale medieval siege engines. It is designed for learning through play rather than for viewing objects behind glass.

Siege engines and medieval activities

You can see a siege tower, wall-mounted crossbow, trebuchet, onager, perrier and battering ram. Information boards explain the machines, and selected activities let visitors test them under staff supervision. Children and adults can use the armoury, fight with foam swords, try miniature catapults, take part in a wooden horse tournament and tackle skill games. Check which activities cost extra.

For families, schools and groups

The programme combines history, movement and teamwork. The stronghold offers packages for schools and preschools, workshops, family events and corporate outings. You can arrange a campfire, while the neighbouring Miniature Open-Air Museum of the Piast Trail adds models of regional landmarks. Educational groups need to book in advance.

Opening hours, tickets and access

Individual visitors are accepted mainly at weekends, selected holidays and during summer; the season and hours change. Organised groups can book from spring to autumn.
