Experymentarium in Łódź

In Łódź’s Manufaktura, on the first floor of the former factory complex at Drewnowska 58, operates Experymentarium — an interactive science centre where physics, biology and chemistry are something to touch rather than memorise. It is described as an “unusual amusement park”: instead of carousels, hands-on experiment stations.

Learning through play

Around 70 interactive stations lead visitors through questions in physics, biology and chemistry. In the logic corner you build block constructions, elsewhere you have to arrange the human organs inside a torso according to the anatomical description — and find out how much of your biology lessons you actually remember. Added to this is the Academy of Professor Einstein, with in-depth classes, plus interactive birthday parties and team-building events held on site.

Experymentarium is in the revitalised Manufaktura factory complex, surrounded by restaurants, a cinema and cultural venues.

In practice

Experymentarium is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Enter from the side of Manufaktura’s main square; after your visit you remain in the middle of Łódź’s attractions — the cultural area, restaurants and the murals of Piotrkowska Street are close by.
