Arena Laser Games in Łódź (say: WOODGE) is an indoor laser tag arena inside Manufaktura, the city's huge entertainment complex built in a restored 19th-century textile mill. Run by the Experymentarium science center, it swaps paintballs for harmless light beams and sensor vests, so you can chase friends through a dark, UV-lit maze without bruises or paint stains. If you are looking for fun things to do in Łódź on a rainy day, with kids or with a group of friends, it is a quick, affordable and very social option.

Where it is and how to get there

Łódź is Poland's third-largest city, in the center of the country, about 85 miles (135 km) south-west of Warsaw. Trains from Warsaw to Łódź Fabryczna station take roughly 1.5 hours; from there it is a short tram or taxi ride to Manufaktura at Drewnowska 58. The arena is on the first floor of the Manufaktura mall area by the main square (Rynek), near the Cinema City movie theater and the food court. Manufaktura has a large parking area for drivers.

How the game works

The arena uses the Australian LaserForce system. According to the Łódź tourist board, the maze covers about 250 m² (roughly 2,700 sq ft) and is packed with tires, wooden crates, metal barrels, UV lamps and fluorescent graffiti, plus a pro sound and lighting system. You score points by tagging opponents; lives and "ammo" are unlimited and the game ends when time runs out. An instructor explains the rules and equipment before each game, so add a few minutes for the briefing. There are two main modes:

• team play (from 4 players) – two teams in different vest colors,
• free-for-all – recommended for beginners and small groups.

Who can play

Each session takes 2 to 16 players; a private game is possible from 12 people. There is no age limit, but players must be at least 120 cm (about 4 ft) tall. Wear comfortable, flat-soled shoes. If you need the briefing in English, mention it when you book.

Tickets and opening hours

As of October 2026 (Experymentarium price list), per person:

• 15 minutes – PLN 30 (reduced PLN 27),
• 20 minutes – PLN 33 (reduced PLN 30),
• 25 minutes – PLN 35 (reduced PLN 32).

That is roughly US$7–9 per game. Reduced tickets cover children, students, teachers, seniors and people with disabilities; ISIC and other youth cards get 10% off. Money-saving tips: a second game the same day is PLN 5 cheaper, on weekends from 10:00 to 11:30 am the 25-minute game costs the same as the 15-minute one, and an arena ticket gives you 50% off the Experymentarium science exhibition on the same day.

The arena is open Monday–Saturday 10:00 am–10:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am–9:00 pm; the last game starts 30 minutes before closing. Booking is not mandatory, but capacity is limited and reservations get priority – call +48 42 633 52 62 or email biuro@experymentarium.pl.

Is it worth visiting?

If you are already exploring Manufaktura, absolutely: a 15–20 minute game is a fun break between the Factory Museum, the ms2 modern art gallery and dinner on the square. Pair it with the hands-on Experymentarium exhibition for a full family afternoon indoors.
