Voivodeship road 387

The Road of a Hundred Bends, also known as the Hundred Bends Road, is a scenic section of provincial road 387 in the Table Mountains. It connects Radków with Kudowa-Zdrój via Karłów and the area around Szczeliniec Wielki. Hairpin bends, wooded slopes and mountain passes make the drive part of the trip, but the route is best taken slowly, with planned stops.

Route and key points

From Radków, the road climbs towards Karłów, passing the Radkowskie Rocks and the area of the Rock Pillars. It then runs near Szczeliniec Wielki and Fort Karola before reaching its highest point at Lisią Przełęcz, above 780 metres above sea level. From there, a series of bends leads down towards Kudowa-Zdrój. The scenic section is about 23 kilometres long, with roughly 400 metres of elevation difference.

What to combine with the drive

The road links several attractions in the Table Mountains National Park area. In Karłów, you can plan a hike to Szczeliniec Wielki; other options include Błędne Skały, Fort Karola, Radkowskie Rocks and the Rock Mushrooms. Do not stop on the carriageway or in unsafe lay-bys; check parking areas and plan your route before setting off.

Information for drivers

This is a mountain road with narrow sections and many bends. Follow the signs, keep a safe distance and allow for the weather, especially in autumn and winter. The road has no opening hours, but access may be temporarily restricted because of repairs, snow, events or road works. Check notices from the road authority and the Radków and Kudowa-Zdrój municipalities before travelling.
