Enduro Trails of Srebrna Góra

Around Srebrna Góra and the whole Kłodzko Valley stretches the Singletrack Glacensis — the largest network of forest cycling trails in Poland: 220 kilometres of singletrack, and with connectors over 300 km of mountain bike routes. The official opening took place in May 2019, and the idea came from Marek Janikowski, the former mayor (wójt) of Srebrna Góra.

A system of 28 loops

The network is built as a system of loops 3 to 28 km long, joined by connectors; it covers the communes of Bardo, Kłodzko, Złoty Stok, Lądek-Zdrój, Stronie Śląskie, Bystrzyca Kłodzka and Międzylesie, with satellite routes reaching Kudowa-Zdrój and Duszniki-Zdrój. The trails are well marked — around 500 posts and entrance gates with maps — and reported defects are quickly fixed thanks to a group of trail stewards.

Infrastructure for cyclists

On the trails await service points with tools, e-bike charging spots and picnic shelters; the network also runs through market squares and streets of the towns, so a meal and a bed are easy to find. An average cyclist rides here at about 14 km/h (about 21 km/h on an e-bike), so even the longest loop takes at most three hours. The main information point is the Cycling Centre in Srebrna Góra.

A fortress backdrop

From the trails you can see the panorama of the Srebrna Góra Fortress — a Prussian stronghold from the years 1765-1777 towering over the town, whose visit combines well with a day on the bike.
