Rysianka

Rysianka (1,322 m) is a peak in the Lipowski Wierch and Romanka group of the Żywiec Beskids. It rises above three valleys — the streams of Żabniczanka, Bystra and Sopotnia — and joins three ridges, which makes it one of the region's more important trail junctions. Along its crest runs the boundary between the villages of Złatna and Żabnica in Żywiec county.

The meadow and the mountain hut

The summit is forested, but right below it hide two clearings: the Kaziorka meadow on the northern slopes and the extensive, scenic Hala Rysianka on the north-eastern ones, where the PTTK mountain hut stands. From the meadows open views of the neighbouring ranges, including the Pilsko massif.

Nature below the summit

Between Rysianka and Trzy Kopce lies the Pod Rysianką nature reserve. On the crest towards Lipowski Wierch stretches an approximately 200-metre peat bog with fens and small ponds, while the upper slopes carry spruce forest whose trees dwarf near the range limit.

Trails

Five trails lead to Rysianka: the red Main Beskid Trail from Węgierska Górka via Hala Pawlusia, the green one from Milówka via Hala Boracza and Lipowski Wierch, the yellow one from Rajcza via Redykalny Wierch and Hala Lipowska, plus the blue and black trails from Złatna. It is a natural stop on the way between Pilsko and Romanka.
