In the Kropka Entertainment Centre at Świętojańska 20H street in Konin operates the Mikroskala Model Park — according to its creators the first venue of its kind in Poland and Europe. Under one roof, historical, nature and film models meet extensive railway layouts, all in a scale that lets you look into the highest mountains and the farthest corners of the world.
The most memorable scenes include the explosion in Hiroshima, Christopher Columbus's fleet off the Caribbean coast, Noah's Ark, the sinking Titanic and the Moon landing, as well as dioramas from the Star Wars universe. Children have at their disposal an amusement park model, the age of dinosaurs and interactive trains travelling through a fairy-tale land, while railway enthusiasts will appreciate the extensive model railways. The visit is complemented by a film on how the models are made and shows by specialists.
The venue is open Monday to Friday from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The interior is fully accessible to visitors with disabilities, and at the exit there is a shop with assembly models and jigsaw puzzles.
