Korbielów is a mountain village in the Żywiec Beskids, at the foot of Pilsko and right by the Slovak border. In winter it is known for the ski area on Pilsko's slopes – the highest in Poland apart from Kasprowy Wierch. In summer trails lead from here to Hala Miziowa with its PTTK mountain hut and up to Góra Pięciu Kopców, with views of the Tatras and Babia Góra. In the village centre stands a Dominican church with an image of the Virgin brought from Bohorodczany in the former eastern borderlands, venerated as Our Lady of Korbielów. Korbielów suits skiers, families looking for a quiet mountain base and hikers heading into the Żywiec Beskids.
