Błędne Skały

Błędne Skały, or the Errant Rocks, are a rock labyrinth in Table Mountains National Park at about 853 m above sea level. A short, ticketed route winds between sandstone blocks, narrow cracks, passages and viewpoints.

What the route is like

The formations were shaped by weathering sandstone. Some walls rise 6–11 m, while several passages are so narrow that you need to turn sideways or remove your backpack. Along the route you will see named formations such as Kurza Stopka and Skalne Siodło. A nearby viewpoint looks towards Szczeliniec Wielki, Szczeliniec Mały, the Czech Broumov Highlands and, in clear weather, more distant ranges.

Tickets, limits and access

Visitors follow a limited tourist route and need a ticket from Table Mountains National Park. During the season, reserve an entry time online: the route is limited to 350 people per hour. A route ticket is separate from the vehicle-access ticket for the upper car park, so check both products in the park's booking system. You can also walk up from Kudowa-Zdrój or other towns, but that turns the visit into a much longer hike.

Practical tips

The labyrinth takes 45–60 minutes; allow 1.5–2 hours with access and photos. Early morning or late afternoon is usually calmer. Sandstone and steps become slippery after rain, and the route may close in winter or after heavy precipitation. Large backpacks and prams are unsuitable for the narrow passages. Bring an extra layer: the maze is cooler than the car park.
