Mountains & peaks
Rycerzowa PTTK Mountain Hut stands at 1,120 metres above sea level on Hala Rycerzowa in the Żywiec Beskids. It is a wooden mountain shelter and a hiking destination, not a place you can reach by car. In good visibility, the open mountain landscape includes Pilsko, Babia Góra, the Tatra Mountains and ranges on the Slovak side.
The hut has 34 beds in 2-, 3-, 5- and 10-person rooms, together with basic mountain-shelter facilities. Its dining room looks out over the mountains, while the buffet serves hot meals, vegetarian options, sweets and drinks. Snowshoes are available for hire.
The shortest approach starts in Soblówka and follows the black or yellow trail for about 1.5–2 hours. A green route via Przysłop takes around 2.5 hours. From Ujsoły via Muńcuł, allow about 3 hours; from Rycerka, the red trail takes about 4 hours. Leave your car in Soblówka, for example near the church or at Morgi, and continue on foot. There is no road access to the hut itself.
The buffet usually operates from 8:00 to 20:00, with hot meals served until 19:00; confirm current hours before setting out. Overnight reservations are made by phone. Mobile signal is limited and the hut has no connection to the public power grid, so carrying cash is a good idea. Call ahead about beds, especially if you expect to arrive after 19:00. Dogs are not accepted overnight. Check the hut’s website for current contact details.
Wstęp do schroniska bez biletu; noclegi i posiłki płatne, aktualne ceny sprawdź telefonicznie.
